ReplySupacool I have this logo on many sites as reference material. Never knew it belonged to a Logoponder. Brilliant execution
ReplyIs this not in the gallery? It should be!
Reply@lefty: It can be any of those things but the client refers to it as 'the shutters'.**@dbunk: Thanks, glad you like it. :)**@GaryS: Ours is not to reason why. %3B)

ReplyThanks dezinart. Yes, it was nice to be part of the project.
ReplyI know I commented on this yet I don't see it. I must have hit preview instead of post...like a year ago. Anyway, still love it. The simplicity is so attractive. You set the bar pretty high for yourself :D

ReplyA master piece...
ReplyYup. Perfection.
ReplyOMG!!! Outstanding like whole showcase!
Replynice to see this one pop up again :)
ReplyGlad to see it again.
ReplyGreat logo :)
Replythis should have a permanent link on the gallery. Its in the top five (IMHO) of logos on this site. Simplicity personified, conceptual brilliance, memorable, all rolled into one. if I design something like this before I exit this university I'd be one happy camper.
ReplyI don't know what to say. I'm quite staggered it's on the front page. Thanks for the kind comments.
ReplyGreat to see this one getting the attention it deserves.
Reply'I don't know what to say. I'm quite staggered it's on the front page. Thanks for the kind comments.'**Your way to humble Roy!
ReplyBout bloody time! Great work Rman :)
Reply:)
Replyagree with the guys on this, i'd always presumed it had been in the gallery. **It's in my top 10 all time logos
ReplyOne of the best here on the LP.*Glad to see it in the gallery.
ReplyHa ha, finally, Roy, congrats buddy.
Reply@ClimaxDesigns: I was featured artist 3 months before this particular logo was uploaded but yeah I hear what you're saying David.
ReplyI'd float it again if I could Roy. One of the best on the site.
ReplyI'm sad to see this got featured, this was supposed to be the best kept secret of lp! Nah, just kidding, let the world enjoy it's beauty :D
ReplyIm doing a similar one for Dutch window makers...
ReplyHaha I see what you've done there Nav. My neck hurts now.**Thanks all. :)
Reply%5E%5Elol!

Replyantyclymax getting to 100. Kidding.**Thanks everyone who commented and floated.
ReplyAnd now the 100 more as it deserves so we can all meet at that London 'Logo Pond 4th Conference' yall be talking about! %3B)
ReplyI love the simplicity of this logo. I feel like I've seen this logo before somewhere, has this been published in any logo-collection books?
ReplyDoubt you need another comment about how awesome this is, but here's one anyway. When you see a really good one on the front page, it really stands out. Excellent!
Replyit's awesome because of it's simplicity and cleverness! fantastic!
ReplyThanks all.**
Reply%3B) Thanks.
ReplyThanks serene. If it's just that one design I'm not concerned. Were you referring to the withdrawn ones?
ReplyLove your work Roy!
ReplyThis needs to be exposed more than TNoW...**http://www.inarea.com/archivio/news/a-new-brand-for-the-italian-ministry-of-interior-33.html
ReplyWhat a high caliber rip-off... sigh... would not like to be in their skin atm...
ReplySuper cool design Roy.. love
ReplyRe: the Italian Ministry of Interior logo - WOW. And it's not even ripped off *well*. Look at that gradient! D: FWIW, the rest of their work sucks, and their website, despite all its fancy bells n' whistles, has tremendously poor functionality. FAIL. I hope they get taken to the cleaners for copyright infringement.
ReplyThanks for the support on this. I understand the client has instructed lawyers.
ReplyStatement put out by Inarea: **http://www.inarea.com/archivio/news/the-logo-for-the-italian-ministry-of-the-interior-34.html
Reply%5EI'm not buying it. It's way too similar. The placement of the 3 bars, one of which being an open door on the left, and the unique perspective involved - I really don't think it's a very common idea. While their CD may not have consciously copied per se, there is no doubt in my mind he/she was directly influenced by yours.
Reply%5E I agree 100%25. Besides by, %22definition%22 (in black and white)as being registered. This would be a direct COPY.
ReplyWOW, Roy just looked this over. What a COPY. No matter how they explain it, they are in the wrong here. IMO. Good luck with this one.*Cheers.
ReplyLogopond %22a place to fish... kidnap ideas%22, FAIL.
ReplyYou have got to be kidding me. This logo has been published how many times in print and on the web? And then they never thought to check and see if the idea already existed? Should be Standard Operating Procedure to check for similarities on proposed designs BEFORE you present them. Horrible, horrible lack of research and followup. I'm sorry, but they should go down for it.
ReplySOMEBODY GET A ROPE!
ReplyThis one looks like an Italian design! Ha! Forget about it! Capiche?
ReplyRoy, you are cool:)
ReplySad that The Italian Ministry of Interior steal your idea and logo %3B-(
ReplyDisgusted. I read about the %22kidnapping%22 on the newspaper %22La Repubblica%22 here in Italy... I didn't know the original logo was here on Logopond.*If the board of examiners of the Ministry was stupid the stealer was very dishonest...**http://www.repubblica.it/politica/2011/07/26/foto/logo_plagio_ministero_interno-19663995/1/
ReplyMost of us here at Logopond would often post a design up to get feedback to see whether there are already similar established designs done so that we may try to steer another direction. As Trish pointed out above that its pretty much SOP. And here we have a full fledged design company PROUDLY boasting the logo's author's credentials who also happens to be a CD.**With a quarter of a century of professional experience...(*spit) These guys are an insult to our profession.
Replyanoter plagiator from slovakia. Logo for kitchen company http://www.oresi.sk/
ReplySaw this for the first time in David Airey's book. One of the most impressive marks I've ever seen. Your folio is inspirational. Keep up the excellent work!
ReplyThanks Dan, it's opened a few doors and caused a bit of controversy along the way. ;)
Replywhen I saw this logo for the first time I asked who had done it, very good! Now I know, congrats, thats great :D
Reply^ Nice to know. Thanks!
Replyamazing idea!
ReplyThanks Jair!
