clashmore I understand you point of view, but I disagree with you opinion about using shadows and gradients...

I agree with Clashmore on the gradients, I guess that's why i'm still curious what the logo's for?

The concept I've actually also more or less seen:*http://typophile.com/battle18**the reference image is a little over half way down the page. I'm not saying this is where your idea came from, just that I've seen a very similar execution.

I do like this but the shading on the flaps seems a little off in my opinion..Sorry

I suppose if the shading went the other way the F might be less recognisable, so perhaps this is best for the logo

Really nice example of a great visual logo, would work great on a presentation, website, advert - but can't see it working in traditional mediums or in black %26 white for example.
