Description:
Moongate is a boutique-style shop in Northern Wisconsin, so far North that it’s hard to find much of anything beyond the local Mills Fleet Farm or Walmart. Like Fleet Farm, Moongate sells a bit of everything, from new and vintage apparel to accessories, jewelry, gifts and treasures for your home and garden. The store name Moongate was given to me by the client, and I was asked to incorporate this into the logo. The image is of an actual moongate structure found in gardens throughout history. Due to the variety of merchandise sold in the store I knew that a more “item” specific image would be hard to nail down, so by sticking with the symbolic structure, I created an image that was unique to the name and unique in style.

I adore this! The moon in the gate is the perfect styling and the type compliments that style. What would it look like without the flowers though?
ReplyI tried it without the flowers as another example for the client, but in the end they really liked them. I didn't mind though, the flowers broke up the base of the fence somewhat and made the logo a bit %22softer%22...
ReplyOh, and thanks for the kind words %3D )
ReplyI have been to this store! The logo looks great in the window and it definitely sets the store apart from the others in the town!
ReplyJesiLee, Are you from the Rice Lake area? My sister-in-law is the store owner. It's a small world...
