Description:
In 1960, 400,000+ students from 1,300 schools across the U.S. participated in a national survey of their abilities in math, reasoning, and language, and shared their aspirations for the future. Dubbed Project TALENT, it was the largest study of high school students ever conducted in the U.S. Fifty years later, researchers and historians have taken a heavy interest in this unique group of Americans. An initiative has been launched to locate and reconnect with the Project TALENT participants, encouraging them to share their life stories. These collected data could be used in a variety of academic, economic, sociological, and health-related ways. This continuous line illustration of a U.S. map being encircled by two hands visually depicts this nationwide study of participants from all walks of life. The hand-drawn line quality, typography, and offset color evoke a nostalgic '60s feel. Unused proposal.
