After over 3 months a client give a call to my boss today. He saw my proposal (designed for him) uploaded here in logopond.com. It was a graphic wordmark that is not in use (other design of the same words has been chosen later but still not in use). The client has still not registered that wordmark and he was anger because someone can steal it through my profile here (3 months before today he published an advertising article on a whole page in a big newspaper in his country, about his business, part of which is the problem wordmark ... but yeah - the article is not a problem at all). I was forced to delete my design here and I did it. However I'm uploading this one - designed in the same direction, with the same graphic elements but with other words (so everyone is allowed to "steal" the words "Nice Rooster" ;]).
I'm curious what do you think about my case. Am I stupid that I upload my work even when the used words are already presented to the world? Do you have such experience and what is the best thing that a designer can do in situations like this?

(Had to write this looong comment, because I'm really pissed off and I had to cool down somehow :]])
(sorry for the low English level)

Well, I think it was not proffesional to publish materials without client's permission. You might have ruined his branding strategy. He might have wanted jump out of the box with the new logo and shout 'suprise'. And maybe you deprived him a 'suprise' thing ;) I kinda understand him. Talk to the client first, check the agreement if you even allowed to publish logo.

Thanks pixel crook! You're right!
I didn't look at this "surprise" point. I shouldn't upload the project without the clients permission (even that I think that he will not take to an end any of his "extremely emergent" projects - it's really just not the right way, nor my work to think to what end he will take his business project). I needed an advice like this (it's one of those that I will remember for a long time) to take me on the ground (I think) and that not everything that I made is absolutely a mine to upload to my portfolio.
Thanks very much for the advice! :)

So good to see someone asking for advise, getting a professional one, and taking it so humbly. Gregor is correct in every aspect. Never publish your work in the public domain without the permission of your client regardless of used or unused elements of the design. The only exception is that at the end of the job, the client has not paid because it didn't work out whereas you are free to do with the designs as you see fit. Nonetheless, your attitude is excellent. And so is this logo!

You're welcome!
I do think too that your attitude is commendable. Jumping the conclusion from your mistake like you did is best way to learn priceles lesson that allows you to develope your skills in communication with your clients. Because is the most important thing in relationship with client - communication. Good luck!

About the logo. I think the logo needs some more work, maybe stronger (bolder) font. But idea of the logo is awesome and because of that you got my floater :)

Thanks for the advice champion and pixel crook :). Now as I'm looking the logo I see that it has some problems (the longer words are the reason I think) - will change it some day ;)
Thanks again guys!
I really appreciate your help!
