I concur to all, probably the reason I did it this way also was in regards to ryantoyota's remark about the type. **@ OC, yeah your right, sometimes I just do stuff with no rhym or reason just because I was in that mood or felt like it, but your 100%25 riight. :-)
Yeah, and I still find the type seems a bit off. It might be the thicks and thins in areas where there are counters vs. areas where there aren't (like the P for example... the vertical stroke seems to be thinner in the top half than it is in the bottom half. Also, the radius of the curves seem like they could be slightly off. I'm not exactly sure what it is, it just feels 'off' to me. Perhaps it's just me. If no one else mentions it, I wouldn't worry about it.
Ryan, I can assure you the vertical stroke is not off. Having subtle differences in curves is what sets a typeface apart from lets say Franklin Gothic or your standard sans serif type, this is what gives a typeface a certain style and adds character. The curves are fine in my opinion and I like the type and stand by what I think looks good, each individual has a different opinion of what they think is aesthetically correct. There is no set way a typeface must be as long as it is balanced and works together, This is why I enjoy designing typefaces, either they like it and purchase it or they don't.
