i love this mark! im curious though for the face is it also vector based? it looks so natural. perhaps a gradient mesh? please do tell. :)

Thanks emesghali. It is totally vector (including the face). The whole thing has been constructed in illustrator. I just built the face with different shapes and gradually added highlights and shadows. I avoided using gradients.

Colin - No it's not a self portrait! I found a vintage portrait online. I don't know if on some weird sub-conscious level I've made it look a bit like me. My wife asked the same question but I'm not into self-portraits! I need to create my own logo over Christmas so I can get rid of the mugshot.
