I think the red and yellow dots need to be darker and the black dot needs to be a color. The thick black stroke overpowers everything

Mmm.. now that you've said it, you're right about the black stroke. I may try no stroke and change black dot to blue.

maybe just a thinner stroke and change the black dot to blue. I like it very much.
