I think this looks pretty cool, but if the goal is to shy away from trendy bars, some might say this logo looks a bit trendy itself. To me it fits that 80's-punk-rocker look that is trendy right now. Unless you are talking about staying away from the typical night club, hip-hop look as trendy.
ReplyHi Kiddgraphicdesign, *yeah you are right and that is the point (this is a bit tough to explain and i nearly popped when my client tried to tell me), you see the thing is it isn't a punk night, it is trendy bar bucking the %22trend%22 of %22trendy%22 bars, it needs to appeal and wants to attract %22trendy%22 clients, the sort of person who thinks they are %22rebelling%22 by going to this night, but in the safety of their trendy comfort zone. If that makes any kinda sense.
