the brief i got was that they wanted a big raintree sheltering 2 smaller trees to show the protectiveness of the big tree

I like it, but unfortunately it just looks like a big tree in the foreground with two smaller trees in the background (way off in the distance), as opposed to the smaller trees being sheltered. I would have modified the 3 trees to look a little different from one another instead of just scaling them down and flopping them.
