I'm totally confused here (maybe because it's late). A coffee cup and 3 urinals is all I'm seeing - I'm assuming urinals being that the 1st design greatly resembles a toilet. I don't understand how this is supposed to be related to a cafe. Wouldn't be sanitary, IMO.**Also, what exactly does the name mean?**Please fill me in. Very curious.
ReplyYeah man, a bar that I would give my best to avoid and we talk about the area in miles here...
Replywell, guys im not the creator of the logo, but i guess i can fill you in....*The name cafe im klo, its german for %22coffee at the toilet%22 or on the toilet, dont know exactly (my english and german aint perfect guys), so thats why theres the use of urinals and coffee, althou i agree with you it doesnt seem very sanitary, but its just kind of a funny concept to make the logo more fun, theres also another mark of the same concept that works ass well, althou this one is more appealing
ReplyI can see how you are trying to have fun with the concept, but urinals don't have any positive associations in my opinion. This is just a bad use of imagery in a logo. I guess we need to start by changing the name. %3B-)
ReplyHave you tried the coffee cup with the lid opened upwards, like a toilet seat?*That way you can avoid the toilet imagery.
ReplyWow! American sanitary standards are WAY different than German standards. Remind me to cross Germany off of my list of places to visit, or at least places not to drink coffee.**I just don't think it's a good concept overall. Sorry man.
ReplyYeah I'm kind of astonished at the lot of feedback your gave me.. but just for my defense: I'm not the inventor of this curious name 'caf%E9 im klo' (coffee at the toilet). ( Well I think they choose this name because they converted the old lavatories into a little caf%E9 where now the pupils can hang around).. I only designed a logo for this little caf%E9 because they had non. .... (As you might have noticed, I'm not a native english speaker... so please forgive me any faults %3B)
ReplyJust call it Cafe %232 and be done with it.
Replyjejeje, sorry guys i just had to laugh
