nice use of colour - however i feel that the image and text are not balanced (maybe a little bottom-heavy).
Thanks for that, I appreciate any constructive feedback with a dash of positive feedback.
I agree with cobalt. The mark has great style and colors, but I'm having a hard time relating the mark with the type.
The mark is very interesting and beautifully illustrated. The type fights with the mark.
Thanks for the comments, the type is not finalised as yet so I'll take those comments on board with a revised logo soon, Regards Cerise
Ditto in regards to the type. Love the mark though.
Great mark :)
Thanks, hopefully they'll use it the text is going to change
Unique & impressive! Congrats!
I like the style of the image, but the type needs work. I guess you already realize it :) Good luck convincing the client!
you won the race....excellent
Nice mark. Type could work...shrink it by half and space it out a bit.
Thanks Darrel I'm working on it at the moment, the name will eventually be shorter so that will be easier
it's def a cool mark, but what is with you and horses.. :)
I work as the only designer at Harness Racing Victoria, so I use Logopond to learn from the champs.
Love it. nothing costructive to say. I just love it.
to borinagge and hindmarchdesign Thankyou very much
love mark type....love this...cool
I really like this design, however... as for the colours, I am not liking the gradient, as I have a very strong feeling it is one of the default (radial) ones in illustrator. But other than that, really nice work IMO :D
@ revolvedesign - Thanks, the colours are slightly different than the default gradient, (I know the ones you mean though).
I stand for no default fonts or colours (except black and white)
Right there with ya ;) lol
Thanks hipcheck appreciated
Nice work cerise.. good to see another kiwi on here!
Where are you from in NZ?
I am originally from Inver-Vegas.......Now I live in Geelong.
Hey.. originally from west Auckland but moved around a bit - living in Taupo. Those Aussie summers are tempting!
Somewhere-near-Taupo aye (nice part of the World there mate)
Best design in your showcase so far. I don't know why I passed it by before. As a designer for a very specific industry, it must be hard coming up with new design treatments for essentially the same subject over and over. You're doing a spectacular job.
First time I've seen this and wow I don't know how I missed it. You earn my highly sought after "delicious" label on this one.
Thanks Luneja :)
Very nice! Really gives back the impression of momentum.
Glad you like it, I was trying to convey momentum so thanks.
THIS LOOKS MARVELOUSO !!
Hey man thanks
Perhaps a script font would help? Or maybe your own handwritten style vectorized??
Word of advice fellow designers, make sure you are present when the signage company are putting up the signage. Had an unpleasant suprise when I got to work today. AARGH!!!!!!!!!!
did they change the font? install it upside down? space the elements wrongly???? Seriously you have to watch signage people every step of the way...like vultures they pull apart your work and then even have the guts to regurgitate you a proof of your logo with a brand new font!
Okay that was a generalisation but i have too many bad experiences!
and for all those smar alecs, yes i outline everything and group it so they don't get the wrong impression.
They put the horse on a frosted white background (not black) in several areas around the building...but I have since complained and they are reprinting the strips. It's such a stress when you get anyone to print something generally, but signage companies can really take the law into their own hands sometimes.
Lost a job once because I believed what a print rep told me. Promised she could deliver but her company could not. It was a nightmare. It was a huge project and a lot went right and I was able to solve one problem no one thought could be solved, but all it takes is one dropped ball. No matter how much you trust your vendors, you should always keep on top of every thing. Like you learn everything you can about your client's businesses, you have to know your vendor's business, too.
Anyway you'll be stoked to know that they didn't stuff up the external signage and it's sort of a sigh of relief today.
stunning, really beautiful!
Thanks Tomme :>
best from your horse racing "period".
Thanks patentico love your website front page wicked animation.
really great mark
Thanks Capota your comment means a lot
Draw in motion...very very good work 'cerise'....10/10
Killer mark Craig! Love it!
Thanks Norbonana & Mr Spitz appreciate the feedback
Great to see some trotter related stuff in your gallery. It ain't easy to create a unique trotter logo. I know because I made some a long time ago.
Saw this on the Highway when I was passing through Melton on the weekend, still looks great!! ...and, it managed to distract from the fact that I was in Melton ;)
Thanks Gert & Josh, I appreciate your comments, and agree that it is hard to do Harness logos, because of the lack of symetry with the sulky on the back, so u have to mix it up for sure. Josh that cracked me up :)
