Description:
For a custom hot rod builder. Pin-stripe is a very lost art-form and is a passion of his. I was honored to take this one on as I am a hot rod enthusiast as well.

Very nice work, there are no obvious faults I can see.
Reply@ Alex, Thanks I appreciate your time.
ReplyThis would look wicked in a neon sign! I'm not so sold on the colors, or the effect you have on %22hotrods%22 but I like the font choices and layout.
ReplyYou're right, Bart... a lost art form indeed. You've captured it here, mate.
Reply@ Ryan, the effect on HotRods is a simulation of billet aluminum or chrome if you will without using gradients to create the visual.*@ Roy, thanks mate. I love this stuff.
ReplyVery retro. Perhaps you were playing off the word 'Lanes'? I keep thinking bowling alley or skating rink for some reason. Lol!! Nice work, chief!**So, I've never had the money or time for a real hot rod, but I had a swapped CRX at one time. Does that make me coool? :-P
Reply@ Oc: What one of those cute wedge-shaped ones with the see through hatch?
Reply@ firebrand : That would be the one, Roy. :-) With the heart from an Acura/Honda Integra. Okay, sorry to jack your thread, Bart. I'm finished.
ReplyHAHA!!! I had a 12.0 sec 2000 Honda Civic Si, with a prelude type-r engine swap, air ride suspension, all kinds of motor work and a jackson racing supercharger.**My next toy is going to be a Bel-Air or a Chicayne.
ReplyLOL! 12 sec. honda, no way! jus kiddin, I had a 14 sec. (stock 327) 57 chevy Bel Air 2 dr. hard top with a lic plate Mikes57, eat my dust.
ReplyI just googled those cars. Would be a rare sight indeed on our streets!
ReplyThe Chicayne is awesome! I cant wait for next summer to start looking for a decent body to be a project.**Mike that is cool. I want a 4 door though to be a tad different.**Roy yeah I imagine it would be.
ReplyHoly Shite!! 12 seconds? Seriously? Best mine did was a 13.9. And I thought I was fast.**Chicayne...now that's a big boat.
ReplyI think you've gotten the form of the hand pin striping, but you're missing the thing that make them so cool--the thick and thin in each brush stroke.
ReplyI'm with KGB you're about 99.5%25 there and I love the design... but if Pin Striping is his thing you should go for the variable thickness in your pin striping or you lose the effect. Right now it looks like tubes not paint.
ReplyNiiiiiice. Ditto what RightOn said about the pin thickness.
