Description:
Branding for a lacrosse training facility.
The full logo lockup depicts a compass mascot cradling a lacrosse stick. Also included is a standalone mascot, a wordmark, and a monogram.
While the mascot's needle pointing due East directly references the facility's name and geographical location, the compass itself is a metaphor for progression; advancement. It symbolizes enlightenment or finding one's way.
A compass provides reassuring guidance and steadfast reliability. And as the compass guides the traveler to destiny, so too, will ESL guide players to victory.

ReplyStoked to see this guy in the gallery, friends.
ReplySadly, this homie here is going to die a horrible death on the cutting room floor, as this whole job is now being cancelled by the client. Not going to get into particulars out here in the public, but the project was doomed from the start due to poor client communication, misinformation, misdirection, a change in business focus (without being told), bad taste - you name it, everything went wrong.
the upside, is you have a great portfolio piece!
ReplySorry to hear that. Beautiful piece though.
ReplyThanks, guys. I agree, it's a great portfolio piece, and hopefully, it'll help me land other sports-related clients who appreciate this style.
