Description: I was commissioned to illustrate a friend's beloved dog for a cut-out style metal sign for their new home. I combined the illustration of their black lab with an illustration of their house and encapsulated it in an oval with oak branch cutouts. The original version is the third, dark brown illustration. The version for an outdoor sign is still being tweaked. They include the oval with less detail and the square version. When tweaking a design for a specific medium, it's important to keep the soul of the illustration intact. I believe I've been able to do so so far. I believe the illustration is actually improving with each edit.
