tie and collar form eyes and nose of a lion
As seen on:
Just for fun
I saw more of a bird than a lion.
Do you think adding more details to the face would make it have more the appearance of a lion?
Honestly don't think it's working...
In my opinion, this is one of those weird made up logos that don't appear to mean anything. I know this is just for fun, but what is business animal? It just seems like you're taking two separate things and melding them together, rather forcefully. I think if you're going to do a logo just for fun, go all the way with it. Try to define what the business or organization actually is, what they do, who the audience is, etc. That will help add some parameters and give context to the logo which will make it easier to critique. Without any of the thought behind it, all we can comment on is what it looks like. In this case, I get it. I see the lion face and the shirt collar and tie, but it feels very forced. As in, it vaguely resembles a lion face but the shirt collar doesn't make very good lion eyes. And the lion mouth has no part of the tie and collar. And the tie had to be drastically shortened to make sense as a lion nose. So in short, it's not really working. I think the goal here should be to have the two pieces (lion/tie) be one thing, with minimal altering of either. If you can do that, it will make it look more effortless.
Well said Sam. Yea I don't do any process for fun logos I just try to mash things together and see what happens its a creative exploration but i 100% agree with you context and target audience because in the real world that's how we design. I took a break from looking at this logo and your right its forced i can get wrapped up in my ideas a bit too much at times hahaha
i like the Name :)
it's similarly look's like my concept
no worries it was just for fun, not using it for anything ,personally i dont even like the concept that much anymore
