Hey, a possible solution for the apple, to look more like an %22a%22, could be made by adding more %22character%22. You could have bite marks to make an %22a%22 or have it peeled. Also, you could make it into a half an apple with seeds exposed. The seeds could be place in such a way to suggest an %22a%22.
