Description:
This has been a challenging project. Client Likes the concept but not the look of it and reference to anything Voodooism, such as bones or voodoo stuff, but naturally these special characters carry these attributes that give it a natural Tribal voodoo feel which I personally find as an added Bonus. but client does not like look of it so may have to terminate this idea. This is about as conservative I can get with the concept and not lose the
\/()()|)()() factor...

Very nice Mike. Love the idea/execution.
ReplyThanks RoKac :) This one is my fav! subtle but has a special hidden meaning.
ReplyIf my company name was voodoo I would buy it.
ReplyTHANKS Jerron! I really don't know how much better I can do., covering all criteria.
ReplyI would buy it too, but without the noise. :D
ReplyDo you always present one by one concept to the client? Do you find that easier? I like all these for this project, btw.
Reply%5E interesting question.
ReplyThanks Srdjan and Stelian. Yeah pretty much one by one. I put most effort (sweat and thought)into initial based from brief, it's then I get the real feedback I need. The %22Icebreaker%22 is always the hardest. Sometimes ya hit it first try, other times it takes really tapping into the clients mind and trying to figure out what they do and don't want. I feel just giving them 3 options per say and saying %22choose%22 one is of a lesser value than working through it via honest feedback. I do like them to be involved. Not to say I always agree with the chosen path.
ReplyThanks brandsirrah. I would like to see client choose this one :)
ReplyMakes sense, Mike. My first concept is often the strongest one, so i can get short in terms of the payment if client goes with the first one.. :)
ReplyThat's a good idea too. I have done that but usually if client likes it, they think they're gonna see something better and usually want the whole nine yards. Illustrative ones I do a little differently. Sketch first!
Replyhope the client choose this one, it's simply great. concept is still recognizable :)
Replywow, lovin' this new texture, Mike.
ReplyTHe drums have spoken....CCClient MUst ChOse THis OnE!!!
ReplyAlex, yes me too but not feeling it.*Thanks lecart :)*Fabian dig the CCC :)
Reply%5E yeah I know what you mean! The gut instinct is right most of the times :/
Replythis IS really lookin' great Mike. And I've really injoyed the fact that you've shared the process somewhat along the way.
Replyvery nice :)
ReplyThanks for the comments amigos. Still trying to work in the concept somehow.....http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/134114
ReplyThis is brilliant. I love it. Everything works. But the client doesn't like it? I'm sure some sort of voodoo could sort that one out for you.... %3B)
ReplyGood Question CD. I get the same thing, %22O know it when I see it%22. What I try to do is hit it on the first time and use that time to perfect the idea. I feel Quality and concept i more important than Quantity. I don't always nail the concept on the first attempt, so I offer more concepts. If they %22bite%22 on an idea I try to perfect it using the time set in my contract. I offer kind of an Either/Or approach. Do You want me to prefect %22this%22 idea or see other ideas?? Bottom Line is they Pay for what they get. I don't just throw 3 designs up and say choose one. I hope that makes somewhat sense.
ReplyOh and IF they buy my first design. I do give a little discount :)
ReplyYeasss!
ReplyWith all the remarks I had from other designers in regards to this concept (like we were a design team) and the whole Voodoo idea. This project really baffled me. Thanks all for your support and understandings.
ReplyAnother option could've been - V()()))()()
Reply%5E water under the bridge now :)
