Thanks zka. I knew there were similar concepts out there...but I think the execution is different enough from these. Thanks for showing the parallels though.
I've seen this concept before - and I've used it in posters. If your execution was weak, I might be hard on it. But it has real integrity - a certain softness _and_ strength, hence it works well - even for jaded types like me.
Your probably remembering this old Leo Burnett logo:**http://www.multicultural.com/images/logo/logo_burnett_1005.gif**I wasn't familiar with it until someone posted a link to it above. Similar for sure. But as I said earlier I knew there were similar concepts out there...but I hope this execution is unique enough. Very good eye to draw the parallel!
This logo is going to appear in my new blog *http://designtrophe.blogspot.com/*if you want to check it out, just showing what a good logo is*and this is a good example :)
Glenn did this logo job for us at ABDN (abdn.org.uk), and did a great job on it. Thanks Glenn - we still use it today for our Inspire to Success event which has now become an annual thing attracting businesses from all over the region! The logo did a lot for that... Salman
