Updated / tweaked a bit the monogram and added typeface.**(this concept was considered but never approved, and given the fact that the client is a close friend to the agency manager, we're still on it, hoping to find a winner, it's more of a personal quest :)**Feedback always appreciated.
ReplyLaurentiu Duta and Vali Barbulescu in one place, nice. :) I think that (for me) there's something that's not working, but i find it difficult to point it out. Hmm... the monogram looks interesting/nice (same in LD case, which symbol i think i like more), so there's only the type that might be the problem for me. Any other opinions?
ReplyI'm not too happy about the type either, but it's the best option i had after some research and experiments. Don't know why, but i find this to be among the top works of my showcase.
ReplyI was thinking, ain't it to clean and classy for an electronic dj? I know he's a photographer too, for that job i think this would fit, but for a dj i have some doubts. Picture it's logo on a flyer/poster for instance. Think at tiesto, paul van dyk (big name on the scene, their musc style is irrelevant) etc i think you should go for a more iconic, one piece logo.
ReplyYeah, i agree tass, this is not quite suitable for a DJ, way too clean and classy for electronic music, i was thinking photography when i designed it. I just like it for what is worth. Thank you for the comments!
ReplyThe mark is very good... but the type isn't! Try to find and put a modern font there to see how it looks. I think you used this font because of similarity between V from the mark and V from the text, neah, just manage this somehow :)
ReplyWell, thanks for the suggestion, kinda felt this font suited the mark, or at least was my closest match at that moment, given the fact that the monogram has a serif look. However, i do have doubts whether i should change the typeface, remove it, or leave it as is. I do know i don't want a modern font. :)
ReplyTry Copperplate Gothic... it's from 1900 :))
