Without having a background of what it's intended for, I think it's impossible respond something substantially different.%0D*Some people might prefer a bigger space between the mark and the text portion or aligning them horizontally, but for my taste it works just fine. %0D*To me the logo looks more suitable for something technical like photography or printing than a painter, because it's more on the minimalist, restrained side and I guess that's exactly what you were looking for.
