For over 30 years, the soft-spoken Methodist minister with piercing blue eyes led the charge against food insecurity and food waste in southern Michigan. He helped pioneer food banks as one of the founders and the executive director of the Food Bank of South Central Michigan (now the South Michigan Food Bank), which he led from 1982 until his retirement in 2014.

In a way, this logo honors him and his passionate work and love for those in need. ❤️
