i know their is a little similarity.. it reminds me of my friends in my hometown that they also have this kind of drawings in their room...anyway i'm happy with it!
It is a spin on southwest symbolism....Kokopelli...so thats why it looks like other logos....*I like it, the mark, the text part could use some variations(the dance with me part looks squished?)
you may be right tini1 but there are too many elements that are the same but this just seems more sloppy, even the bold/regular touch on the font is the same :) sorry if i am wrong.

Reminds me of a logo from Jelly Jazz (www.jellyjazz.com) from a few years back, which had a similarly shaped character playing a sax or something!
