I gravitate to this as well, has a nice feel. Nice colors and nice idea. But I agree the shapes you created on the bottom of the bowl draw my eye and I want to make sense as to what they are exactly. Am I missing something or is that just definition of the bottom of the bowl?
ok, there are 6 bowls in front of each other %22dancing%22, the front bowl is the same color as the background so it hides most of the other dishes..on the bottom of the image you can see the feet of the white and brown dishes that are tipping..hope this helps :)
Nice colors and very clever concept. What may help get the idea across could be accomplished by lowering the negative space bowl. The dark brown and white bowls are lower than the base of the negative space bowl which in our mind may not %22make sense%22 or is floating. Also, I would like to see the bowls either on the same angle or completely different%3B the subtle variation between the white, orange and green bowls add to a feeling of uncertainty. Either they're dancing in-time or dancing to their own beat. Again, very clever concept.
The white color in %22beat%22 is harsh next to the brown. It fights for attention instead of complimenting. Perhaps the yellow color used for one of your dishes would be better.
Lets Discuss
