Description: This logo is for my longtime friend Torrey, also known as the Madd Hadda. He is an emcee and hip-hop producer known for his colorful personality and energy on stage. The challenge I faced in this logo was in presenting an image that reflected the name, but also retained that edge present in the music. I wanted to stay as far away from cartoon silliness as possible while still retaining recognition of the character. I also had to keep it not TOO mean looking, as my friend is a spiritual guy. He would not like an evil looking logo. I think I kept a good sense of play and discovery in where you are not fully sure what you are looking at until you read the name, and then you "get it".
