Description: DAY 087 of my project: "100 logos in 100 days". Time consumed 55 min. I made this logo on New Year's eve. I was inspired by a Bad Religion song "10 in 2010". It goes something like this: "what kind of God orchestrates such a thing? 10 in 2010 ten billion people all suffering 10 in 2010 truth is not an issue just hungry mouths to feed ...10 in 2010 forget what you want, scrounge the things you need" I just wanted to remind people to be thankful for their lives. Especially on the New Year's eve when everybody is stuffing their faces with food and booze. Some people around the world are hungry and thirsty... and yet we are so spoiled and we take everything for granted... This logo is based on Kevin Carter's famous photo of a starving boy. "Carter’s winning photo shows a heart-breaking scene of a starving child collapsed on the ground, struggling to get to a food center during a famine in the Sudan in 1993. In the background, a vulture stalks the emaciated child. Haunted by the horrific images from Sudan, Carter committed suicide in 1994 soon after receiving the award.”
