Description: SMAS-SINTRA is a public company responsible for the drinking water network of the district of Sintra in Portugal as well as the waste-water service. The logo is based on a typical form of Portuguese painted, tin-glazed, ceramic tilework called 'azulejo'. This art was introduced in Portugal by the Moors in the 15th century and since then has become a typical aspect of Portuguese culture. This 'azulejos' are found on the public mourish fountains of Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage Site: 19th century Romantic architecture).

muy interesante resultado! pero no se si el color verde sea bueno para la empresa ya que cuando el agua es verde es que el agua no es buena, pero me gusta la mezcla de los colores y el fundamento de el azulejo portugues, saludos

Thanks for your comment Mentelibre.*I didn't thought of that detail. :-) I've used the color green to symbolize nature, because Sintra is also recognized by this beautiful mountain with a peculiar localized 'tropical weather' full of palaces and a castle. A unusual magical ambience.**Gracias por dejar un comentario mentelibe! :-)*
