Blue Bone is a food company focusing on the fishing industry. They cater to the growing demographic of mid income male shoppers. To that extent they wanted to convey a manly and rugged tone. The woodcut aesthetics speak to the traditional hunting/fishing/outdoorsman lifestyle. So if you can't go out and catch your own food, at least you can buy it from people that understand your primal desires.
The elements of the crest can be pulled out and used on their own. Amongst these elements is a flounder gig modified to look like a B.
