Hi I have just looked at the link you posted and I can safely say I have nether seen this. I too have researched heavily on brain illustrations for inspiration and have changed my logo design numerous times. If you know me as a designer you'd know I nether copy anything but thanks for pointing it out.
Fair enough but it's not actually designed for a food company that's the whole point. It's suppose to get a reaction as you would never illustrate a brain for a food company except for maybe in Asia.
Apologies Noodlesoup... I totally skimmed over the title and your user name and just went straight to the image and description. I see this is an exercise in self branding, not a restaurant (oh der!).
Well, I don't know if it would actually be called plagiarism because it was made using a free online tutorial BUT, it's absolutely the same brain. Same lines in the same places, same shape... come on. Why deny it? It's too obvious to be coincidental. Honestly. I don't see any shame in admitting to using a tutorial to help create a brain then tweak it to be more customized.
Lets Discuss
I'm only noting this because I've been working on brain concepts and been doing some research on it and came across this http://vector.tutsplus.com/tutorials/icon-design/how-to-illustrate-a-brain-icon-for-osx-and-vista/ Slightly plagiarsed don't you think?

Replycopied or not copied, I find this concept a little off-putting for a food establishment.

ReplyNo worries I should make it more clear. I do have options with creative in the title but I just uploaded this version. Might change it now.

ReplyIt's not the same brain, but strikingly similar. The stabbing chopsticks makes my head hurt.
