Description:
I work about new religious web-project - about sacred way for God of St. Basil, Fool-for-Christ of Moscow. It will be home of modern stories about trials and experiences to meet this saint in our spiritual life.
I use old strange slavonic typographic technique - “vyaz” (“wiki: Typographic ligature”).
- First line is: “Saint blessed” (in russian);
- Second line is: “Fool-for-Christ”;
- Third: “Moscow Wondermaker”;
All ligature lines are white - this color is a symbol for purity in orthodoxy.
And I use some red signs in this logo (red is a symbolic color for love (love for God and humans)) to make it as unique logo for Basil.
- Left red sign is “V” letter in russian (first letter in the name of this saint “Vasiliy”);
- Right red sign is “b” letter in russian (first letter in russian word “blazhenniy”)
- Bottom red sign is “M” letter in russian (first letter of Moscow’s name)
- Top red sign is “small titlo” (second strange technique in this logo).
