Hello all, been a while since I have been on here. Extremely busy. Have recently designed a logo for a friend of mine who is going for a world record attempt rowing across the Indian Ocean with his buddy! Personally I think they are insane. I have designed them a logo for their "Indian Ocean Race 2009 Challenge" IOR To predominantly be on their team clothing.
Hope you like. The waters around their are shark infested so on the oar / paddle is a little sharks fin. Take care all.

At first glance it's very cool. And I recognized the graphic as an oar almost immediately, but I didn't recognize it as an %22i%22 as well. Perhaps because of the way it extends down beyond the %22or%22. It just doesn't feel like a letter form. And as for the shark fin, I think you should play it up more. Maybe have some teeth mark in the oar instead.
ReplyI read it as IOR fine, but I didn't know it was an oar. To me, at first glance it looked more like a feather.
