Actually...Rodin unveiled the statue to the public around 1904, so it's only been just over 100 years. And I believe that the image (or likeness) of the statue is probably considered public domain, so I don't think there's any copyright issues.**However, I didn't see the chess piece at all until I read your description, so I would suggest tweaking this logo more.
