Description: Logo for a proposed new Dallas/Fort Worth area anime group focusing on the series Axis Powers Hetalia. The 36th division was a real military division from Dallas that fought in WWII. I wanted to channel the military imagery of the series using the historic name as a basis for our group, but to also present a modern logo with a Texas flare (the star) and strong typography. I chose Knockout for it's bold look, multiple weights, and use on the Hetalia DVD boxes. © 2012 / mfdesign
