Description:
The Symbol of the “Riviera Maya” is the “Strombus Gigas” or pink winkle, it has taken as the base of the university identity project. Instead of its multiple connotations it represents the correct image to represent this institution.
Because of its spiral form, this winkle can be associate with science symbolizing development and knowledge.
For the ancient maya culture winkle represents as itself the “zero”. In addition it was used to produce jewelry and musical instruments.
The logotype its formed by the conjunction of the Riviera most representatives elements. At the top it is represented a mayan structure relationed with the prehispanic culture at the bottom it is represented the sea waves.
