Description: This is a logo proposal for a local music series based in Fernandina Beach, FL. Representing the lighthouse on Amelia Island, I felt the lighthouse was an essential part of the logo. As the oldest lighthouse in the state, it’s a testament to the rich history of Fernandina. Coinciding with this history, I have included eight seagulls along side the lighthouse. Known as the “Isle of Eight Flags,” Fernandina is the only municipality in the U.S. to have flown eight different national flags. Continuing on with the coastal theme, It seemed fitting to incorporate some type of waves in the logo, and the anchor is a homage to the rich history of fishing on these shores. The anchor rests at the bottom of the logo, almost holding it down. It sits in between the waves as it is on it’s way to the ocean floor below.
