For my taste, the proportions don%B4t work at all. The stripes should be much smaller, maybe with a more handdrawn feel, at least not with a metallic gradient.
I'm assuming that this logo is for a design firm? It's a really odd mix of a corporate vs. a childlike feel which sends mixed messages to potential clients. And the overall balance of the type and graphics is off.
