The 8 is a little hard to read.

ReplyI was afraid of that. The problem is making it read 8 without closing the number 2 too much. I will try to work on it tonight.

ReplySure, logo design is an art, but it's the art of branding a product company or person. You don't really brand a year.

ReplyIs 2008 in competition with 2000 or something? Branding is done for marketing purposes. Bottom line: to stand out from the competition.**Don't get me wrong, I see this from an experimental point of view, it's an interesting exercise, but I also see Dache's point that this doesn't seem to really fit in a logo showcase.
ReplyA logo (Greek BBBFB3CCC4C5C0BFC2 %3D logotipos) is a graphical element, (Ideogram, symbol, emblem, icon, sign) that, together with its logotype (a uniquely set and arranged typeface) form a trademark or commercial brand. %0D*I think this can fall under that def. Besides the designer called it a logo, so it's a logo not just a year. :_)
