Description: The logo was created between 2021 and 2024 and was introduced exactly on the 10th anniversary of the Facebook page Český humor. Český humor is a page aimed at entertaining people with humorous images and text-based jokes. The page was founded in 2014 and received its first full logo in 2016. Over time, I began noticing its shortcomings, which led me to a complete redesign. The original logo consisted of a combination of the letters Č and H as initials of the page’s name. The letter Č featured a triangular cutout representing the Czech flag. In the background, there was a blurred Czech flag. The new logo builds on this concept and is again based on the combination of the letters Č and H. The logo was rotated by 90°, and the triangle was removed. Instead, the inner space of the letter C was expanded into a half-arc. This improves the visual clarity of the logo and, in this rotated form, also reveals an additional symbolic layer. Why the 90° rotation? My goal was to incorporate a secondary meaning into the logo – a graphic symbol. In this orientation, the shape resembles a comedy theatre mask, visually reflecting the page’s purpose. The háček (diacritic) above the letter Č is cut out in a minimalist way so it doesn’t disturb the clean look, while still subtly referencing the Czech flag. The new logo maintains the color palette of the original version, but uses solid colors instead of gradients. The standalone icon can appear in any of four colors: white, black, blue, or pink. The version with a colored background uses only three colors – white, blue, and pink – in any combination. The only rule is that each element must have a different color; no color may appear twice. Line thickness is consistent throughout all parts of the logo. The wide version of the logo uses the Impact font. The top edge of the text is deliberately not aligned with the icon to create a subtle “flat 3D effect,” making the icon appear as if it is rising above the text.
