Compact version is better

This is quite cool.

The blue background version is a little hard on the eyes though...maybe if the sails were white?

Nice. I would have to agree with Hayes on the blue background version. The red and blue are too close in hue and are vibrating pretty bad.

As regards the blue background - yes, i'll change dark blue to black for more contrast with red but i can't change red to white because idea in red color (it from famouse novel - 'Scarlet sails' by A.Green)

What about a slightly different red tone? Maybe just less satuated. And blue only a bit darker. Some small variation might bring the effect already. No need to drop the color concept at all. Great sign, really!

^ Maybe. I did sales less satuated and background darker. Look in attachment new variant. if it do lees satuated it'll become orange or pink )
