Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...but neither of your logo options are working that well for a restaurant. They both are falling kind of flat, and as a result aren't making the logos that memorable. Part of the problem is the font you're using - it's just boring. It reminds me of the %22Marker Felt%22 font. Since your logo is essentially a typographic one you really need to find/create a more unique and stylized font to carry your logo since you don't have an actual mark or icon to compliment a simple font.
