Some aspects of this are nice, but overall it just looks really busy and cluttered because of all the embellishments within the oval.

I would have to agree with you. Some clients really try hard to dictate the process, but luckily this was not the final version. I was able to get them to let me organize the elements better for actual logo representation and not like if it were just a buckle. I will post it up here soon.

Yeah this could be great if the little text were a tad larger and the embellishments dialed back a bit in color.

I uploaded another version that is better, but the client was solid on having so much shine on it. I will tweak it some more for my portfolio though. Thanks for the comments!
