It is a nicely done illustration, and has a lot of potential. I think pushing for a stronger concept or adding some complexity into the idea might help bring it into its own. Could there be a subtle SS or 7 trees/branches? I think the gradient is lacking some subtlety, and that river/slug shape at the bottom is confusing. Push the idea farther, and you can find something that transcends the cliche of tree logos.
