Description: Esme Barrera was tragically murdered on New Years 2012. My brother, who worked with her, asked if I could put a graphic together they could use to put on stuff in her honor. I did not know her but I kept hearing how she was a lover of music. In my head I just kept seeing someone rocking out with their rock hands. Because that’s what you do when you love music that much right? It’s the ultimate sentiment that this band rocks and I just gotta show it. I swear, the idea just came to me and I just started to draw it out on a napkin. As I did, my wife says, “You know that is also the sign for love – right?” That’s when I knew this could be cool if I actually did it right. Bottom line is this is a terribly tragic story and my heart sank knowing the Austin community lost a great person like Esme Barrera and my brother lost a good friend and co-worker. It was really the least I could do to honor her.
