From crayons to macbooks, I've been an illustrator/designer at heart for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Memphis, TN, went to Lake Highlands Highschool in Dallas, TX, and graduated top of the 2005 class from the Communication Design program at the University of North Texas. (To be fair) I actually was privileged enough to split the top-portfolio award with my best friend Brian McAdams.
I moved on from Denton back to Dallas where I was an illustrator at Fossil for almost 2 years before I quit and ventured out on my own into the world of freelance.
My experience as a freelance designer has really afforded me some solid lessons/mistakes that I would've never gotten had I remained in the corporate environment forever. At the moment, I'm looking to expand my business and make some strides in growing both as a designer and a professional.
This fall I'm planning to transition out of the world of freelance by starting my new company "Cameo Creative" in hopes to hire employees in the future and really expand as a design shop.
