Description:
Lee Townsend is a commercial beekeeper and alongside his father, they manage 3,100 colonies strictly for honey production and have been doing so as TPLR Honey Farms Ltd. since 1979. He doesn't proclaim to be an expert or a bee guru, he's just a beekeeper that wants to help people understand what it is their industry does. There is so much misinformation about honeybees being quoted as fact that he felt there needed to be some place people could learn about bees at the grass roots level.
Lee came to Bluehaus Creative to help redesign their business website along with his blog, Alberta Buzzing. A new logo was created as well and after the initial "angry bee" concept, many elements were wanted to be incorporated into the new direction.
After a LOT of concepts, we finally came down to this look and feel. By incorporating the mountains of the Alberta Rockies, Canola Fields, and their uniquely custom bee hives, we accomplished their goals by finally encasing everything into a honeycomb hexagon.
