Description: Client: Sinanian Construction, Development + Management Industry: Construction + Development Sinanian Development is a mid-sized, family-owned general contracting firm based in Southern California since 1983. Since 1990, Sinanian has become heavily involved in public works construction that includes schools, community-college buildings, public libraries, fire stations, police stations and animal shelters. Sinanian came to Zookeeper wanting a new logo with a modern look that reflected the quality of their construction while helping them compete against major national builders that are working on projects worth millions – and even billions – of dollars. These competitors have been in business 30-50 years longer than Sinanian. Zookeeper crafted a mark inspired by the look of several buildings Sinanian had completed. The abstract representation incorporates two S’s in the design since Sinan Sinanian, the founder, and his son, Serge Sinanian, have two S’s in their names. We incorporated a Japanese look that was favored by Serge to feel smart, clean and straight-forward. The sans serif typeface was selected to be modern, bold and clean. The new identity leaves no doubt that Sinanian is a professional, experienced and innovative company, which is poised to grow and push the construction industry’s major players. “Awesome.
