Description:
Since seeing the brilliant typographic work of Roberto de Vicq de Cumptich in 'Bembo's Zoo' and 'Men of Letters and People of Substance', I've dreamt of doing my own homage to a person from history.
The poet Virgil was my first choice, inspired by Dante's Inferno. As Virgil lead Dante through the realms of hell, purgatory and heaven, so too do many designers take their clients on such a journey. My personal philosophy of requiring Vision, Guts and Luck to be an excellent client and designer also factored in. This identity has become a personal branding element to represent those concepts.
