This is a cool concept, but I wonder if the match heads are a little overkill. Maybe they're too big and round? I think you could get away with them being just red squares at the end. Same thickness as the match body.
@samdemastrie Thank you for your opinion. I wanted more similarities with natural matches, but your concept is right, too.
