really cool concept cake_sama, maybe not highlight the fingernails? it makes the hand look sinister, like they are claws. agree with the pinky, looks too long. still nice job :)
Really nice idea, hand fingers look a little off. Maybe it might be easier to find a different hand photo that would work better as a silouette rather than trying to fix the fingers in this one.
Love where your taking this...what would be really cool is to use the different colors of sand(max 3) to sell the concept, this would also soften the harshness of the shape.

I know maybe that's what it's based on, but the sand at the bottom would be a perfect triangle.**I don't know how it would work, but you could try making the hand the top part of the timer then.**Ed.

Really nice idea, but that pinkie finger is bothering me a lot. It looks like it is not part of the hand (proportionally).
