Description: Most of the GLTB Community is in the closet in Sri Lanka, and I felt that our pride celebrations lacked a powerful identity to describe the radical outspoken celebration it has come to be in the west. This is what I proposed to a local LGBTQ organization to use for their Pride Celebrations this year, but they felt it was too stand off-ish? Anyway, I used the hand print because I ran across an interesting story about the Gay rights movement and the origin of the purple ink hand print. Google it for anyone who doesn't know!
